The Voting Rights Act Revisited

The Voting Rights Act Revisited

Since its inception members of the Congressional Black Caucus have fought to protect the right to vote. The recent decision made by the Supreme Court of the United States has forced the nation to truly reflect on the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The members of the CBC have affirmed their commitment to protecting the rights of underrepresented communities and remain fully invested in the mission and vision of the caucus. Our exhibit on the Voting Rights Act will provide you with a virtual historical walk through the passage of this legislation and its amendments. We encourage you to take some time to learn and understand the importance of this bill and the role that the CBC has played over time. To view this exhibit click here.
