Sixty Years and Counting…

On May 17, 1954 the U.S Supreme Court declared segregation in public schools unconstitutional in Brown v Board of Education. Following this historic decision the members of the Congressional Black Caucus have fought consistently for education equality for African Americans and other minority groups across the United States. This year we mark sixty years since education has progressively changed to include effective policies and initiatives geared towards the socio-economic advancement of minorities. Join us for a virtual walk through our online exhibit where you will learn more about the important role the members of the Congressional Black Caucus have played in keeping education policy at the forefront of the United States’s legislative agenda.
