The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Launches The Permanence Project

The Permanence Project is an online community for people who are concerned about public policy. It engages people in the policy making process and helps them to understand how public policy impacts their daily lives. The Permanence Project is an extension of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Incorporated Annual Legislative Conference (ALC).

The ALC is the leading policy conference for African-American leaders, lawmakers, and concerned citizens who want to engage in challenging conversations about civil and social justice. The Permanence Project reaches individuals across the country and around the world who are passionate about advancing the global black community.

Through the Permanence Project, the CBCF:

Provides nonpartisan, fact-based analyses and resources about public policy issues

Explores the implications of current public policy on black communities

Empowers people with the knowledge they need to advance public policy debates through civic engagement and community action

The Permanence Project benefits and unites students, educators, health practitioners, business leaders, lawmakers, and people from all walks of life. It serves as a bridge for civic-minded people who are joining together to build a better future for black families, communities and our nation. Every voice counts, and we need yours.
